The Actor's Club presents.. Yoga for Actors!

Join us for a Yin Yoga, Breath work, Meditation and Sound bowl healing workshop. We will share some cacao as we begin and have some nibbles afterwards to share.

About Yin Yoga: Yin Yoga is a restorative, deep release style of yoga that aims to calm, and centre your state of being. With a more meditative approach, this type of practice helps you to connect within, to truly understand and 'know thy self' (crucial for an actor!) as well as releasing instrumental tension.

Having a regular practice of yin yoga and meditation will enable you as an actor to more easily drop-in and centre yourself, helping you to come from a more truthful place in your performance.

The practice can also aid in removing emotional and physical blockages, tension and calming fear and stress that can all get in the way of the actors process and performance. Acting and Yoga go hand-in-hand, as our body is our instrument, we need to care for it and know it well.
